yes, everyday, we make choices and we have to accept their consequences. especially if the consequeces are reasonably foreseeable (i just had to use that law term). but of course there are conscious choices and unconscious ones.
and i am a believer that since we have a say in picking our choices, we should accept its consequences with generally little whining. yes, we may not like what we got stuck with but, my mantra is, well too bad, its not like we had no other choice.
and so when a close friend came up to me, upset about the consequences about a choice that i wasnt particularly supportive of nor argeed with, i had to bite my tongue. its my own belief and i dont want it to impose it unto others, but well its a choice, you took it with full consciousness of the risk of rejection, and yet you took it. you took it hoping for the chance of sucess but still you knew of the risk of rejection. so when you are rejected, dont wonder why, you made a choice so deal with it. not that i dont encourage a little whining about the consequences, but learn from it. what i cannot understand is why people know better yet jump in anyway. sure, call me cold, cynical and what not, but dont expect me to jump into a decision that doesnt at least make some sense. if its the one thing i hate, its going into something that i am clueless about. its like being lost at sea without a map and just sailing around till i find some island that hopefully has some inhabitants on it. urgh! i hate that feeling. ive had some advice to this effect: go take the plunge, you never know whats in store. but point is, i hate not knowing what is in store. and no i cannot take the plunge without some "navigational systems". i just cant.
now back to choices relating to rejections. yes i have made a choice to. i have made a choice to stay clear of such stuff, yes spare me relationship stuff. yes i know there are happy moments but well, i havent met someone yet that really swept me off my feet. and i am certainly not going to take my chance with a total stranger. and so ive made my choice. and i deal with its consequences. i may not like my choice, i may change my mind in the near or far future, but ive made my choice.

yours truely is back from hongkong, tired and worn out, but happy nonetheless.
i love the hongkong skyline!

got a new haircut and highlights (so now i look hongkongy), cool shoes (which were ex but cool), and a few articles of clothing. as for my friends, expect wife biscuits and sour plums from me.
oh and this was the first time i got airsick. thank god for the puke bag on the plane. urgh! never in my life am i going to take united airways again. seriously terrible! the planes are old and the engines made so much noise. on the trip there, the aircon was spoilt and so i was like sweating on the plane. it was sooo stuffy. i think that plus the constant turbulance made me puke. urgh! and on the trip back, my seat was spoilt, so that if i slouched, the bottom part would slide off. cool eh. plus the food sucks and the airline staff are not pleasant looking (oh well, those who have passed sia's expiry date do still have to work too)
so i spent the rest of the trip shopping and eating. alot. deserts were lovely! although i think i ate too many dumplings that i am starting to look like one. the weather was cool and dry and i had to nurse perpetually dry and cracking lips.
we went to ocean park. lets just say i have never been too fond of theme parks. and this one was on a hill. i nearly died on the ferris wheel la! it was sooo high and the wind was blowing and i thought i was going to die. yes, i freaked out on a ferris wheel. the roller coaster was worse. urgh! whatever happened to my adventurous attitude of the yesteryears? i a real big whuss on the inside. shhhh... onlya handful of people know.

i've always wanted to rant bout this. i am sure everyone's familar with the show the contender. yes its the mui thai one with all the men fighting each other. dont get me wrong, i love to see men fighting. i love watching wwe and boxing. but then there's this one comment one of them made, sth along the lines with he would love to spread his seed among singaporean women and make babies with them. and i like WHAT?!
i makes me very sad that the male species has been reduced to such a state. spread your seed? oh please. women are more than just receiver's of seeds from men. and who the hell would want your seed anyway. singaporean women arnt that desperate. oh well i speak for those that are not anyway. urgh! such comments just put me off!
hrm and just one more observation, how come mda does not allow gays to be shown to be in a normal relationship on tv but then they allow kumar to come in drag? weird huh.

i shall take a break from all the contract crap to bring a post. all the depressing theories shall take a back seat while engage in some mindless blogging. and i have yet to learn my lesson of refraining from last minute work. while others are doing past year questions, yours truly (smart but just lazy i always say), has yet to complete her syllabus. cool huh. i am training myself up for future lawyer work, close deadlines will just seem like a breeze to me next time at the rate i am going.
i shall talk about little known(well that's objective) facts about myself.
first up, although i dont form grudges easily and am rather fast to forgive, i hold terribly long grudges. yes, i dont think i can forgive everyone. but if i can, its usually fast. and to all those unfortunate people that i hold a grudge against, i am coming to take revenge. muahaha. secretly part of the reason i am taking law is that i aim to sue your sorry little ass until there's not a penny in your pocket. as i say, nothing like a woman's wreath.
also, i am fiercely protective sometimes. yes yes, normally i'd rather run away than face up to things but when it involves people that i care for, its a whole diff story.
ok enough about my scary qualities. now onto the topic of issues. everyone has them, in one form of another. i think your issues depend on your character. simple ppl have simple issues. emo ppl have emo issues. and so on.
oh dammit. its time to go back to the boring world of contract yet again. till next time.
